"Sea Fans" is an exquisite beachfront villa with scenic views of the beautiful Mahoe Bay Beach. The villa accommodates 8 guests with 2 guests per bedroom. Cribs are also available upon request. Sea Fans was designed so that each of the guest suites is very private. Each hexagonal guest suite has its own separate entrance, A/C, bathroom and private "outdoor" shower (no one can see in but you can watch the sunset over Drake's Channel). There are 2 separate beachside guest suites and a 2 story, 2 bedroom guest suite. The second floor bedroom is equipped with a kitchenette. Each bedroom has its own large covered terrace with beautiful teak furniture.
The main house has a high cathedral roof with 4 ceiling fans and indirect lighting. There is a modern, extremely well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster oven and refrigerator/freezer with an in-door ice and water dispenser. The large center island has a beautiful polished granite top with stools beneath it. The flooring in all the living areas is Mexican stone tile. Although "earth tones" are prevalent throughout the interior, bright floral patterns brighten up each room. A glass-top, stone base dining room table seats 6 comfortably. An L-shaped sitting area just off of the kitchen is set up for easy conversation or to watch the 55 inch LCD HDTV in full surround sound. A Blu-ray player is available for your convenience. A library of books, videos, games and CDs is also available for your enjoyment.
"Sea Fans" is located on the leeward side of the island so it enjoys gentle breezes with temperatures usually in the low 80's to upper 70's throughout the year. Step off of the property directly onto a clean sandy beach. Because there is a reef a short swim off shore the water laps against the beach making it ideal for children (of all ages). The reef also gives you a very private beach by preventing boaters from being able to come ashore. Under the water a soft, sandy bottom with no coral or sea urchins stretches out a short swim to the reef. Bring your own or rent snorkel gear so that you can discover the wide variety of fish and coral right in your own "back yard".
There are three shaded areas attached to the house for those who prefer a cooler, relaxing area to sit, read or sleep. The house is entered through a wide shaded porch. The rear side of the villa provides views of the beach that can be enjoyed on the large porch that has both a dining and sitting area. Beside the house is a Bougainvillea-covered terrace with a stone breakfast dining table for 4. Enjoy the luxurious 20' x 40' foot pool, which is the largest in the area! It is conveniently situated between the covered patio and the beach. Also located in the pool area is a wet bar, complete with an icemaker and refrigerator. A seat-height native stone wall which defines the pool provides a great place to sit as well as safety for the "little ones". At one end of the pool is a below-water bench seat to rest on after swimming laps or for sipping your favorite frozen drink. Teak lounge chairs and a teak table with umbrella are placed about the Oklahoma stone decking. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with colorful flowers, several varieties of palms, banana, lime and grapefruit trees. Native boulders rest comfortably about the property, directing the various lighted paths to their destination.
"Sea Fans" is located 10 minutes from the Virgin Gorda Airport, the Marina, Little Dix and most of the shops and grocery stores for your shopping convenience. We do recommend renting a car for transportation throughout the island. "Sea Fans" is also 20 minutes away from the North Sound end of the island where you will find a variety of delectable restaurants or you can also take a scenic ride on the water taxi to access more restaurants throughout the island. Speedy’s Transport Services provides a variety of options for transportation on Virgin Gorda including taxis, island ferry services or car rentals.
Accessible by water taxi from Gun Creek are: Biras Creek Resort, Bitter End Yacht Club, Fat Virgin Café, Saba Rock Restaurant & Bar and Sand Box Bar & Grill. There are several other great restaurants that are all within a 10-15 minute car ride including: Little Dix Bay Pavilion Restaurant, Chez Bamboo Restaurant and Giorgio's Table. For a fun and funky time, we recommend: Top of the Baths Restaurant and Lounge, The Mine Shaft Cafe, The Rock Cafe and The Bath and Turtle Pub/Restaurant. All dining is casual, so please leave your coat and tie or dinner dresses at home.

Thankfully, the currency of the BVI is the US dollar. Also accepted are all major credit cards and traveler's checks. There is an ATM machine located at the bank in the marina.

To get to Virgin Gorda, most guests fly into San Juan, PR or to St. Thomas, USVI. From there you can take a short flight to Virgin Gorda by either commercial or charter carriers. If you have 5 or more in your party we would strongly recommend chartering; it is always more convenient and with 5 or more flying it becomes cost effective. Some people may prefer to go to Tortola first. From there, a ferry can take you directly to the main harbor on VG. The least efficient and longest route to VG is to take a ferry from St. Thomas to VG via Tortola. Infrequently during the week, the ferry service goes directly to VG from St. Thomas.
No matter which option you choose, you will be met by someone from our welcoming staff who will drive you and your belongings to your island paradise. You can also arrange to have a rental car waiting for you and then follow our staff vehicle and your luggage to the villa.
